The goal of the course is to provide clinically relevant information related to care of critically ill obstetric patients.

At the end of the course the learner will:

  1. Increase their knowledge of the physiologic and
    hemodynamic changes associated with critically ill obstetric patients.
  2. Recognize and implement appropriate treatments in obstetric patients experiencing life threatening complications (including: hemorrhage, hypertensive crisis, respiratory compromise, cardiac complications,and sepsis)
  3. Identify strategies and practices to reduce maternal mortality related to critically ill obstetric patients.

Course Description:

This dynamic instructor led course will provide current, clinically relevant information related to care of the critically ill obstetric patient. The course will focus on the challenges of providing care to women with life threatening conditions and complications, including how to implement what you have learned.
